The much-awaited Telugu film in 2012 will be the first multi-starrer featuring Mahesh babu and Vekatesh besides Samantha and Anjali in “Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu” — a typical Telugu title that is sure to reinvent the success of “Bommarillu” in the recent past.
While Venkatesh himself will get the required viewers owing to the film’s socially relevant storyline, Mahesh Babu’s new image may reckon the film into another box-office success. As 2012 saw few films making it to huge collections at box office, both “Businessman” by Mahesh Babu and “Bodyguard” by Venkatesh witnessed no big money churning so far.
Though Pawan Kalyan’s “Gabbar Singh” rattled boxes to some extent, a big “Dookudu” in 2012 is still missing the Telugu film industry. The film will be produced by Anil Sunkara, Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta who produced Dookudu last year under the film on the 14 Reels Entertainment banner.
Directed by Srikanth Addala, Mickey J. Meyer has composed music for the film. Mahesh Babu in his Twitter message hoped that the film will be a milestone in his career: “Svsc 1st look will b out on 31st:) will be Nother milestone in my career. A big Thankyou to my director Srikanth addala, my producer dilraju ,and of course venkatesh garu….Thoroughly enjoying the experience of working with a legend like him…”
His co-star Samantha too tweeted saying, “Shooting fr Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu….first day with Mahesh…no number of successes and no amt of praise nd adulation can change him.. really am a fan.” The duo are apparently determined to make another deja vu this year.
In fact, the shooting had to be shifted to Chennai as Mahesh Babu’s fans stormed the sets in big numbers leading to cancellation of shooting three times in Hyderabad. Following Mahesh Babu’s advice, the producers have chosen Chennai to speed up the filming though it meant huge overheads. Otherwise, the film is all set to hit the screens on September 28.
